Suquamish Tribe seeks community input for disaster planning

Natural hazards have the potential to cause property loss, loss of life, economic hardship, damage to the environment, and threaten public health and safety.
Hazard mitigation planning is all about how we lessen the impact of potential disasters. It’s figuring out the things we can do today to be more protected in the future.
That’s why Suquamish Tribe is updating our Hazard Mitigation Plan. The goal: save lives and protect property by reducing our vulnerabilities.
Public participation and feedback are a vital part of the hazard mitigation planning process.
To help make that easier, the Suquamish Tribe’s Office of Emergency Management has developed a simple survey so community members can help us better understand the concerns we face.
This survey is anonymous and will be used to guide how we build the plan.
