Suquamish Museum
Research & Collections
The Suquamish Museum serves not only as an educational hub but also as a research center, providing opportunities for scholars, students, and enthusiasts to engage in research activities. While artifacts and documents are exclusively handled by our staff, we are available to assist you in observing items within our extensive archives and collections.
Share Your Piece of History
The Suquamish Museum welcomes submissions of objects with Suquamish origins or ties to the Puget Sound region for potential inclusion in our collection. If you wish to have your object reviewed to determine if it’s of Suquamish origin, we encourage you to submit it for consideration. Together, let’s contribute to the preservation of our heritage and ensure the continuity of history for generations to come.
Research Request
Whether you’re engaged in a project or have inquiries about history, whether it’s related to photographs, recordings, artifacts, or documents, the Suquamish Museum is available to collaborate with community members on research queries, both in-person and virtually. We encourage you to complete our online request form for all research inquiries.
Research Requests On Hold
Due to current circumstances, the Suquamish Museum is temporarily unable to accommodate research requests or provide access to the archives. However, if your request is not urgent, you are welcome to submit it for future consideration. We anticipate being able to address requests within 4-5 months as staffing allows.
