The Suquamish Museum offers a diverse range of public events, from book readings to craft classes. Each event specifies the intended audience and lets you know if it’s free or has a cost. Enhance your museum experience with guided tours, where our knowledgeable staff share stories that delve deeper into the exhibits. Whether you prefer a museum event, a guided tour, or a self-guided exploration of the property, we invite you to join us for an enriching experience.
Events
Register For Event
To register for events, such as workshops, lectures, public tours, etc. Please complete our event registration form. Our museum team will attend to your request within 5 – 7 business days. In case the event is approaching within a time frame shorter than 5 – 7 days, please contact the museum at 360-394-7105 to be included on the list.
Request Educator Visit
Request a Suquamish Museum Educator to guest speak at your school, organization or event, about the Suquamish Tribe history and culture.
Group Tours
Whether you’re a group of 6 or 30, we appreciate it if you submit a tour request for a guided experience. A $20 guide fee will be added to the admission fees. Tours vary in duration from 30 minutes to 1 hour. A minimum of 6 people is required to schedule a guided tour. Please submit your tour request at least 2 weeks in advance. Any requests submitted with less than 2 weeks notice can not be guaranteed. Please allow 7-10 business days to process a tour request.
School Tours
Students visiting the Suquamish Museum will encounter a representation of a traditional longhouse, a collection of both new and historical artifacts, insights into the Suquamish People’s culture, and a visit to Chief Seattle’s Gravesite. For school tours, there is an optional educational hands-on activity available, with an additional fee per class rotation. To ensure optimal planning and adjustments, kindly submit your tour request at least 7 days in advance.
Self-Guided Tours
If you prefer independent exploration, the Suquamish Museum offers a self-guided walking tour map. Start your journey at the museum and explore notable sites such as Chief Seattle’s Gravesite, the Veterans Memorial, the House of Awakened Culture, and the Charles Lawrence Memorial Pole & Boat Ramp. Information about Chief Seattle’s gravesite is also provided for reading during your visit to enhance your understanding of this historical site.
